Interface not working

Post by ashokasamuelson »

I have an academic upgraded Pro licence v. 19. Bought on 13.03.2020

I am trying to run WebMO on my windows machine through the LINUX UBUNTU installed on the WSL partition.
The webmo login for admin and user is fine and the system is apparently working accessed through localhost/
I am able to use the webmo user interface and build molecules etc.

However the interface to Gaussian is not running.
It says "/usr/bin/g16/g16 permission denied"
I am able to run g16 as "webmo" user in the command line.
Permissions are set to 755 as prescribed in the
https://www.webmo.net/link/help/ConfiguringApache.html
https://www.webmo.net/link/help/Troubleshooting.html

The old Ubuntu running on WSL allowed me to run it. When my windows crashed I reinstalled Ubuntu and it is giving problems.
SELINUX seems to be different.

Kind regards,
Samuelson

What are the permissions of g16? Please post the output of the command:

% ls -alF /usr/bin/g16/g16

ags@DESKTOP-USOBQEF:~$
ags@DESKTOP-USOBQEF:~$ sudo ls -alF /usr/local/g16/g16
-rwxr-x--- 1 ags gaussian 127313512 Aug 5 2019 /usr/local/g16/g16*

Also the diagnose.pl did not run very well. Did I run it right?
ags@DESKTOP-USOBQEF:~$
webmo@DESKTOP-USOBQEF:~/public_html/cgi-bin/webmo$ perl diagnose.pl
